Kenny has trouble with schoolwork, especially reading and memory work. I’m so dumb, he tells himself.
But Kenny is creative and persistent in many things outside of school. His good imagination helps him be a nurse for his sick family, and he delights his little brother by playing Pony Express with him. Without having instructions to follow, Kenny is able to make a fun game like the one his neighbor created.
When Kenny’s brother Ray gives up trying to walk on stilts, Kenny perseveres until he masters the skill. Like Dad says, Kenny can do almost anything when he puts his mind to it. Even earning a gumball for saying his memory verse perfectly!
Kenny Can is part of a series of books about friends who attend the Trillium Christian Church and School.
