God's Perfect Timing

She was all alone in Room 203 at the Colorado General Hospital, far away from her native LaGrange County, Indiana. As if that were not enough, her baby was being born two and a half months too soon.

"I can't come," Tom said when she called him. "The pilots are on strike. I'm sorry."

All alone. She could not do this by herself! She could not possibly take sufficient care of her baby, plus keep working to support them both. Despite the overwhelming love and attachment she already felt for her newborn, she knew what she must do: give her little girl up for adoption.

But the love for her child never leaves. Over thirty years late, back in northern Indiana, Katie keeps praying and wondering, "Will I ever meet the child I gave to someone else?"

Little does she know that God is already working things out in His perfect timing.
